"More supportive measures such as moderately expanding fiscal spending and loosening restrictions on local government bond issuances should be rolled out to ensure investment and economic stimulus.

To this end, infrastructure investment should still be given full play as it tends to have a large scale and is usually guided by the government, which thus has the advantage of faster commencement and is more effective in shoring up domestic demand," said Long Chaocan, an investment consultant with China Galaxy Securities Co Ltd. China Railway Construction Corp, the second-largest bid winner in May in terms of project value according to the cninct.

Guided by a new development philosophy that highlights innovation, coordination, greenness, openness and sharing, the Chinese economy has shifted from rapid growth to high quality development, showing the unique characteristics and resilience of the Chinese economy, said Pan Xiangdong, former chief economist of China Galaxy Securities and chief economist of QiLai Research Institute.

Wang Jingtian, an analyst specializing in transportation with China Galaxy Securities, said the 15 RCEP countries have a combined population of 2.27 billion, GDP of $26 trillion and exports of nearly $5.2 trillion.
