One of White Rabbit's most renowned crossover products was a lip balm jointly launched by the candy company and Chinese cosmetics maker Shanghai Jahwa's Maxam in 2018.

In China's third-tier and smaller cities, the penetration rate of domestic cosmetics surpasses 90 percent, and the growth rate of lip balm and lipstick sales has been over 60 percent for two consecutive years, according to a report launched by Juhuasuan, the group-buying arm of e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Zhong has raised bees for years and now runs a whole industrial chain that includes honey tea, mead, bee-friendly plant seeds, beekeeping equipment and lip balm.
Other items in high demand include necklaces similar to that worn by table tennis player Chen Meng during competition, an essential balm used at Tokyo 2020 by weightlifter Hou Zhihui, and mobile phone cases like the one owned by basketball player Yang Shuyu.
New crossover products that have made waves recently include a creamy candy shaped lip balm infused with White Rabbit creamy candy, a bottle of pink perfume jointly developed by baijiu maker Luzhou Laojiao, and a paprika lipstick from fast food chain Zhouheiya whose signature product is spicy duck necks.
"I was extremely upset after I failed to get the creamy lip balm on the debut day, but luckily enough could get some later," said Dong.
She was referring to the lip balm launched by White Rabbit creamy candy and Maxam, a brand owned by cosmetics maker Shanghai Jahwa.
Shen attributed the unexpected purchase fever from consumers for the creamy lip balm to the innovative collaboration between Maxam and White Rabbit.
According to Li, whilst offering a nostalgia of the White Rabbit creamy candy, the lip balm strives to strike a balance between moisturizing function and flavor in accordance with consumer preferences.
Men-only blemish balm, a combination of foundation and skincare, also surged 41 percent year-on-year.
