China is willing to collaborate with the members of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) to advance technical consultations, address pivotal provisions and mutual concerns, and explore practical cooperation in the digital economy sector, said a senior government official.
"Consumption has become the main driving force boosting China's economic growth, and the Singles Day shopping festival is pivotal to unleashing consumers' purchasing potential and promoting the recovery of the economy," said Wang Yun, a researcher at the Academy of Macroeconomic Research affiliated with the National Development and Reform Commission.
Speaking at a sub-forum during the ongoing sixth CIIE, Gou Ping, vice-chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the country's Cabinet, said that with China creating more favorable conditions to advance high-standard opening-up, the annual CIIE has emerged as a pivotal driving force for central SOEs to engage with global partners and secure the stability of supply chains.
