Nestlé will transfer its water operations in China to Tsingtao Brewery group, through the transfer of all its shares in Nestlé Sources Shanghai Limited, Nestlé Sources Tianjin Limited and Yunnan Dashan Drinks Co Ltd to Tsingtao Brewery Group.
Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd, China's major brewery and producer of Tsingtao Beer, saw net profit rise 30.2 percent year-on-year to 1.85 billion yuan ($2.6 billion) in 2019, the company announced on Sunday.
Ranking as the fifth-largest beer producer in the world, Tsingtao Brewery sold 8.05 million kiloliters of beer in 2019 and its operating revenue reached 27.98 billion yuan, up 5.3 percent year-on-year.
The new brewery will be the largest in Asia, with an annual production capacity of 1 million kiloliters.
The brewery is located in Pingdu in northern Qingdao, where it will anchor a smart industrial park.
"Tsingtao will continue deepening the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and the modern service sector to accelerate its pluralistic development," said Huang Kexing, chairman of Tsingtao Brewery Co.
Carlsberg China's first craft beer production center started operations on Wednesday in Anhui province in East China as part of the Danish brewery's plan to further invest in the country's high-end beer market, given the sharp increase in consumption of the beverage here during the past few years.
The brewing and fermentation capacity of the brewery is 100,000 hectoliters.
Globally, the brewery's organic revenue growth is 3.1 percent year-on-year.
Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd, China's major brewery and producer of Tsingtao Beer, posted a 23.2 percent annual net profit growth in the first three quarters of 2019.
During the period, Tsingtao Brewery, listed both in Shanghai and Hong Kong, sold 7.2 million kiloliters of beer.
The 116-year-old Tsingtao Brewery now sells its beer to more than 100 countries, with sales jumping over 50 percent in 11 overseas markets and doubling in five markets last year.
Boosted by the steady earnings growth, shares of Tsingtao Brewery rose 2.44 percent to 49.07 yuan at 11:00 am Tuesday in Shanghai.
Yunxi's clients now include Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Group, R&F Properties, Midea Real Estate and Changan Automobile.

Tsingtao Brewery, listed both in Shanghai and Hong Kong, generated a revenue of 16.55 billion yuan, an annual increase of 9.2 percent.
The sales and earnings growth came after it actively explored both domestic and overseas markets, optimized product structure and raised product prices to tackle rising costs in production materials, Tsingtao Brewery said.
