The county has been devoted to the research and development of herbal medicine resources over the recent years, aiming to breed qualified species with strong resistance and high economic benefits.

Longxi country builds up the comprehensive industrial chain of TCM sector, producing decoction pieces, herbal extracts and patent medicine.

Meanwhile, since late 2018, herbal tea maker Guangzhou Wanglaoji Great Health Industry Corp started to use rosa roxburghii to develop a kind of beverage with high vitamin C content, which helped to drive industrial growth of the fruit in Guizhou.

Tongrentang, a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy with a history dating back over 350 years, opened a shop featuring herbal coffee in 2020.

In total, there are over 50 stock-keeping units covering black, herbal and fruit teas.

"One mindset skincare producers can leverage on is China's traditional herbal medicines, which enjoy high esteem among a foreign audience," said Xiao.

At the Beijing APM shopping mall, Tongrentang, a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy with a history dating back over 350 years, opened a shop featuring herbal coffee in late September.

Even if symptoms such as toothaches and bleeding gums occur, instead of going to an orthodontist, they just buy some herbal toothpaste or painkillers.
