Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail revealed in a recent article that "When Washington needed Canada's help to apprehend a top Huawei executive, officials in the White House, Congress and diplomatic corps were informed of what would happen hours before politicians in Ottawa.

"While working on such cases, prosecutors need to guide investigative agencies to apprehend suspects and simultaneously trace the whereabouts of the stolen cultural relics, and promote their repatriation," he said.

Apprehending fugitives and asset recovery departments at all levels continue to increase their efforts to solve difficult problems such as searching, freezing, confiscating and returning assets, the commissions said.
